all about free hugs

This year i participated in the free hugs campaign held by bohdi team in Chennai.... well i was excited with the idea, had a lot of response from my friends ,just a message on face book spread throughout we had college goers and working class who came together and volunteered for this event. i had a few friends who had asked me what is "free hugs "and some of them opposed the idea ...well i want to let those people know the history behind the free hugs campaign ..well the story goe this way

The Free Hugs campaign in its present form was started by Juan Mann on June 30, 2004, when he began giving out hugs in the Pitt St Mall in central Sydney. In the months prior to this, Mann had been feeling depressed and lonely as a result of numerous personal difficulties. However, a random hug from a stranger made an enormous difference, with Mann stating that "...I went out to a party one night and a completely random person came up to me and gave me a hug. I felt like a king! It was greatest thing that ever happened."

Mann carried the now iconic "FREE HUGS" sign from the outset. However on his first attempt in his hometown, where he returned to find that he was the only person he knew, as his friends and family had moved away, he had to wait fifteen minutes before an elderly lady came up to him and gave him a hug.

Initial distrust of Juan Mann's motives eventually gave way to a gradual increase of people willing to be hugged, with other huggers (male and female) helping distribute them. In October 2004 police told them they must stop, as Mann had not obtained public liability insurance worth $25 million for his actions. Mann and his companions used a petition to attempt to convince authorities that his campaign should be allowed to continue without the insurance. His petition reached 10,000 signatures. He submitted it and was allowed to continue giving free hugs.

LIFE IS A ROLLER COASTER RIDE

"life is like a roller coaster ride"- these were the words that flashed across my head when a friend of mine asked what do you think life is ,strange but true hmm..... sounds crazy .whenever you step into the roller coaster it full of happiness though you are scared a lil bit we take off we hold on tight to it as it goes high and low, twists and turns we scream with fear,we are at the highest point of excitement we cry at times with fear but still we are in the coaster .we cannot skip the coaster once it has started Rollin on the tracks if we tend to do so we would cause a jeopardy not just to us but everyone along with us simple is int it so is life we are all born into this world our parents were very happy we started Rollin on the track of life and we still are we might have had hard tough times like the twists and turns,we might have been on the highest point and a sudden drastic fall but we still should hold on never try to jump over if we do so we would affect every1 around us so my dear friends the message i wanna share here is lets take our life serious have fun never loose heart treat everyone as equal let us unite together and make the world a better place
